Can you imagine a world with no travel? I can NOT! Who would have thought 2020 would bring so much pain. Literally pain. I have been solo traveling for years. For years! I remember when I first fell in love with travel on my first cruise. In 2010 I went on a cruise with my cousin to Nassau and Freeport Bahamas. It was the time of my life. Since then, I’ve went on a cruise with my sister, mother, aunt to Grand Cayman Island and Monetgo bay Jamaica from the port of Miami. My best friend and I went on a cruise to Cozumel Mexico. My mom and I went on a 2 day cruise on the Sunshine Carnival ship back to Freeport Bahamas. Needless to say I fell in love with Carnival Cruises. They introduced me to international travel. I loved the different cultures, entertainment, shopping at the local gift shops and of course the authentic food.
Once I graduated from College my friends and I would travel to Cancun Mexico for memorial day weekend. It would be thousands of people from all over the world who flew there to enjoy the festivities. My best friend won a trip through his job and we were able to go to Cozumel Mexico for FREE and stayed in a 5 start resort.Just thinking of these memories make me smile.
I planned a trip for 20 people to San Juan Puerto Rico. We had a blast touring old san juan and we sat on the beach for hours just looking at the clear water.
I was offered a job on a deployment military base in Abu Dhabi. I lived in Abu Dhabi for about 6 months. I lived in Thailand for about 10 months and backpacked throughout South East Asia.
I can’t believe we are at the point where it is unsafe to travel. Travel has been my life for the past 10 years. I thank God I have all these memories and so many more I haven’t discussed in this post. I will be in the future. I’m sure within a year or so we will be back in the world. Traveling and living our best lives. Until then, I’ll be giving out travel tips, travel stories, and blogging about life in general. COVID-19 has slowed down the world. I think this is a great time to reflect on life and give knowledge and wisdom to others who would like to travel in the future. As I always say. Our Best Days are ahead!!!
