*Extend 30 days in Thailand*

Today is one day before my tourist stamp expires in Thailand. I had to go to immigration to extend another 30 days. When you enter Thailand as a US citizen with your passport you can stay in the country 30 days for FREE. After that you have to extend your stay. Listed below is the current process!!!

When you extend your tourist stamp 30 days you must go down to the local immigration office. For me that would be Bangkok, Thailand. I would suggest to get there early because the wait is LONG. Also, between noon and 1pm the immigration office close for lunch.

Documents Needed:*TM.7 Form-Application for extension stay in Thailand.Once you enter the immigration office you stand in line and ask the front desk for the form or you can print it out from the immigration office website before you arrive.

*Copy of your passport photo that is located inside your passport.

*Photo Copy of the passport departure card that was given to you when you arrived. This is located in your passport where they stamped you in at.

*You will also need a passport sized photo 4x6cm to glue to the back of your TM.7 form.

No worries, If you dont have copies you can go downstairs and pay 4 baht to get copies. Passport size photo costs me 300 baht($9usd), but I received 6 photos. I can use for future extensions.

*Lastly, It costs 1900 baht($64 usd) to extend must be cash. If you dont have cash their are plenty of ATMs downstairs.

Once you have all your documents and money together they will give you a number. Wait your turn, hand over your documents with your passport. It will maybe take 15 minutes and your own your way !!!!!

Ps. This is the current process for extending 30 days in Thailand. Immigration laws can change frequently so make sure to check the Thai government website. SAFE TRAVELS!!!!✌
